Among the components of the BSE BANKEX index, Yes Bank Ltd (up 1.83%), Axis Bank Ltd (up 1.43%),Bank of Baroda (up 1.4%),Canara Bank (up 1.17%),Federal Bank Ltd (up 1.12%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd (up 0.99%), IndusInd Bank Ltd (up 0.79%), State Bank of India (up 0.59%), HDFC Bank Ltd (up 0.57%), and ICICI Bank Ltd (up 0.32%).

At 09:47 IST, the BSE SmallCap was up 272.31 or 0.58% at 47542.14.

The BSE 150 MidCap Index index was up 51.76 points or 0.36% at 14498.66.

The Nifty 50 index was up 29.15 points or 0.12% at 23357.7.

The BSE Sensex index was up 97.16 points or 0.13% at 76832.05.

On BSE,2270 shares were trading in green, 817 were trading in red and 123 were unchanged.
