Among the components of the BSE BANKEX index, ICICI Bank Ltd (up 1.9%), HDFC Bank Ltd (up 0.78%), Canara Bank (up 0.68%), Bank of Baroda (up 0.64%), State Bank of India (up 0.35%), and Axis Bank Ltd (up 0.22%), were the top gainers.

On the other hand, IndusInd Bank Ltd (down 0.65%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd (down 0.37%), and Federal Bank Ltd (down 0.33%) moved lower.

At 09:47 IST, the BSE SmallCap was up 53.92 or 0.11% at 47752.27.

The BSE 150 MidCap Index index was down 4.9 points or 0.03% at 14525.11.

The Nifty 50 index was down 39.55 points or 0.17% at 23397.65.

The BSE Sensex index was up 14.34 points or 0.02% at 77058.63.

On BSE,1684 shares were trading in green, 1329 were trading in red and 144 were unchanged.
